Become a Member

As a WI member, you will enjoy a varied programme that is chosen by each WI;
every member can contribute ideas to the annual programme of speakers, activities
and events – the options are only limited by your imagination!  Each WI holds eleven

meetings every year and you can also get involved in the various regional and
national level events and activities.
There are different types of membership
Member, Dual Member, Supporter, Supporter Plus and we even have Virtual
Members who would like to be part of the WI organisation but are not able to attend
regular WI meetings for any reason.
Members receive the Herefordshire monthly e-newsletter with lots of news of
upcoming events, news on what our members are getting up to, social events and
lots more besides!
Plus 8 copies a year of WI Life Magazine, published by the National Federation of
Women’s Institutes (NFWI), which is packed full of articles, news, recipes and craft
ideas.

Access to free online courses. These are known as Denman courses, WI's education
provision, a place to learn new skills, brush up on your history or take your hobby to
the next level. With a range of live and pre-recorded courses which can be accessed
online at a time that suits you.
Access to My WI (exclusive website where you can find everything you need to get
the most from being part of the WI movement – from campaigns actions to brand
new craft, cookery, floral art and science projects specially designed for you.)
Public Affairs Digest (monthly e-update on all the latest WI campaigning news.)
2024 membership is £48 for the whole year and pro-rata for the rest of the year.

at Upton_Bishop_WI@herefordshirewi.org.uk so we know to expect you (we won't turn you away if
you don't email!). There's a donation of £5 for non-members, but your first meeting is
refunded if you join soon after that meeting..
