What a wonderful celebration picnic we had, the weather was perfect and the garden stunning.  250 members and guests came with their picnics, the band played and the Morris men and women danced, a perfect English summer afternoon with the finale of celebration cake and bubbly and a toast to the WI.

The competitions were very well supported with over 90 entries and the standard was so high.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the afternoon to make it such a success.  My thanks to Mr and Mrs Richards who so generously gave us the use of their garden for the afternoon and the gardener who did most of the heavy lifting, to the 2015 Committee for their perfect organisation and hard work, to the trustees for their support, to the members who manned the gate and teas, to the judges who gave their time to the competitions and to the entrants for making the effort to contribute, to the Tenbury Town Band and Morris men and women, to Gill Harnett for making and icing the celebration cake and to those members who made all of the other cakes and finally to the family members who came and helped to give the members such a lovely afternoon.  I have to mention Zoe and Will, the two teenagers who were absolute stars and worked so hard and did not stop all day.
